The History of DKC: From Doukkala to the Horizons of the World
The story of DKC begins between France and the Doukkala region, a fertile agricultural land located in west-central Morocco. This is where Leila and Semahane, two French-Moroccan sisters, grew up, sharing their childhood between two cultures. In France, they discovered the refinement and excellence of the cosmetic world, while in Morocco, they were deeply immersed in the traditions and values of their family.
The Doukkala region, renowned for its agricultural land, has always been central to their lives, where their family primarily grew fruits and vegetables. It was in this nourishing land that the founders of DKC learned to appreciate Morocco's rich natural resources. Their passion for nature and authentic ingredients was cultivated from a young age. However, it is in the neighboring Souss region of southern Morocco that argan oil originates, a treasure passed down from generation to generation by their maternal grandmother. This precious oil, rich in nourishing and restorative properties, has always been an integral part of their traditional beauty care.
In 2023, driven by the desire to share this natural wealth with the world, Leila and Semahane created DKC, a high-end cosmetics brand that embodies a subtle balance between tradition and modernity. Inspired by the timeless elegance and refined craftsmanship of French beauty, as well as the generosity, opulence, and artistic heritage of Morocco, they wanted to pay homage to the Doukkala region, where their family has cultivated natural products for generations, while highlighting the exceptional benefits of argan and prickly pear.
Each product, formulated with pure and natural ingredients, celebrates the union between the sophistication of French beauty and the cultural and plant abundance of Morocco.
